| As you know, there are many techniques used to sew knitted pieces together. Always block pieces first if needed. To join knitted pieces with mattress stitch, lay out your pieces to be sewn side by side with the right sides facing you. Place the clips to hold the garment pieces in alignment on the edges of the knitting (as shown at left). The clips will help eliminate mistakes and the need to baste. They are much easier to use than pins and won't harm delicate fibers. This will save you alot of time because your pieces are already matched up perfectly! |

| Another common technique used to sew garments together is backstitch. Again, block if needed. Then, lay out garment pieces with right sides facing (as shown below). Align matching rows and place the clips to hold the pieces together. Sew together edges removing the clips as you go. |
